Using Numerology to Determine Your
Career Path
Numerology is an age old metaphysical science that uses the
hidden meaning behind numbers and letters to help guide one in their life path. One aspect of Numerology is to use this method
of divination for assistance in determining which career area best fits you. Today, career counselors, head hunters and personnel
hiring agencies use this technique along with other job aptitude tests to determine the best candidate for a job opening or
promotion. To find your career path number, just follow the simple procedure below, do the simple calculation, then read the
description that relates to that number.
Step 1 - Write down your date of birth using numbers. (example - 11/21/1960)
Step 2 - Add the numbers in the year together. (example 1+9+6+0 = 16)
Step 3 - To the year number, add the month and day of birth. (example 16+11+21=48)
Step 4 - Add the end result together to obtain a one digit number (example 4+8=12, then 1+2=3)
Step 5 - Based on the final one digit number, read the description relating to that number to determine the job
area that best fits you. Based on the example, the number you would read is number 3.

Still have questions? Let me walk you through an example analysis. Take the date of birth March 19, 1954 and
break it down based on the calculation method. Example: 1+9+5+4=19; 19(yr)+3(mo)+19(da)=41; 4+1=5.
Looking
at the number 5 career path example, we can determine that this individual is a good communicator. Now let's say this person
applies for a position in insurance sales. At first glance, the person and the career path description seem to fit, as a number
five should be good at sales.
Now
dig one step deeper, and look at the two numbers that make up the 5 career path. They are number 4 (A number four works with
form and structure, and needs an organized environment to produce their best work. They pay attention to detail, and do repetitive
tasks well. There is a need to produce a tangible end product and to experience the world as a structured place), and the
number 1 (to lead others, implement new programs, be innovative, work in management levels).
Based
on the number 4 description, an alarm bell should go off....needs an organized environment to produce their best work...right
there, this person can be passed over for insurance sales, because in sales work, there is constant change, movement, phone
answering, order taking, chasing leads, and not all will produce an end result. This person will most likely become frustrated
quickly in this environment. In addition, with the number 1 factored in, this individual needs to be leading the sales team,
not actually doing the sales.
Now
let me give you an example of the actual career path the individual having this date of birth followed. First, they served
in the armed forces at a young age, working in communications, then advancing on to doing very high level detailed work with
missiles. After leaving the service, this individual became an investigator for a large federal agency, eventually moving
into an area of protecting high level officials from potential harm.
In
addition to their professional work, this individual enjoyed remodeling old homes, doing everything from installing new kitchens,
carpeting, roofing, and tearing out walls to putting up new wallboard. At one point, this person actually took a basic old
home, gutted it, and built a new home form scratch, on a shoe string budget, then later sold the home at a profit. After retirement
from the federal service, this individual started their own private investigation firm.
Putting
this all together, you can see this person followed the key numbers in their career path as follows:
The number 4 - Building trades. Works with form and structure, and needs an organized environment to produce
their best work. They pay attention to detail, and do repetitive tasks well. There is a need to produce a tangible end product
and to experience the world as a structured place. Note that working in a federal agency, is very structured and protecting
high level officials definitely requires paying attention to details.
The number 1 - Officer in the military and in this case, advanced to a high level position in the federal
law enforcement area. Leads others, implement new programs, be innovative, work in management levels. A number one is a self-starter,
independent, and can stand on their own two feet with self confidence in the work they perform. These are definite talents
needed to be in a position of responsibility.
The number 5 - Investigator or detective protecting high level officials. A communicator. In some sense and
in some way, they find the masses and speak to them. Language is their strength, and they can speak most anyone's language,
from the sales clerk up to executive level management. The number five needs room to move and freedom in their work environment.
Here we see that even though this person worked in a highly structured environment, they also excelled when given the opportunity
to move freely in their work environment, that of an investigator and detective.
As
you can see, using numerology to determine your career path can be exciting. But the one thing I always find amazing is, it
works. If one is on their career path and being true to their numbers, then they do advance to the level of what is expected
of them.
This
tool can be used in many ways, and in the area of employment, I always consult the numbers before making a hiring decision.
Today, there are job aptitude models using numerology as a base to help employers analyze the natural traits of potential
job candidates. Statistics indicate this method to be one of the more accurate means used to place the right person in the
right job. It leads to less employee turnover, a happier group of workers because all are doing what is best suited for them,
and productivity levels are higher because the worker has a sense of personal self-worth and ownership in their work and career
path.
